Krishna is a 1st-year Chemistry PhD student in the McDermott Lab. He graduated from Pitzer College with a BA in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. At Pitzer, he worked with Professor Mary Hatcher-Skeers. There, he used solution-state NMR spectroscopy to investigate the dynamics of small, organic molecules. In the McDermott Lab, he is beginning work on a filamentous bacterial cytoskeletal protein, FtsZ. In his free time he likes to run, walk, hike, go to the gym, read novels, and play soccer.
